WHY?
This website is to provide an independent view of condominiums in Singapore because:
a. As people working in industries related to property, many of our relatives, friends and associates have seek our views on the merits of certain condominiums (for sale / rental).
b. We note that there is a lack of such websites in Singapore providing an independent view of specific condominiums in Singapore as opposed to hearing from developers' and real estate agents' sales presentations or points of view which tend to have vested interests to convincing you to buy / lease or sell.
WHO?
As our team comprises people who have day jobs, we have chosen to remain anonymous. We ask you to look at our views reflected in this website and evaluate for yourself how objective we are and whether we are true to our mission and objective of this website, that is to provide "AN INDEPENDENT VIEW OF CONDOMINIUMS IN SINGAPORE".
WHAT?
We will start off with the condominiums (larger condominiums with units above 100 units):
a. New launches
b. Popular condominiums
Please bookmark this website and check back periodically for any update.
HOW?
We acknowledge that there is a continuum between relativity (our relative views) and objectivity (our objective views) and we seek to be less relative and more objective in our views of the condominiums in Singapore. We acknowledge that what we like may not be what you like.
While we are open to advertisements by developers and agents marketing the various condominiums, we will not be influenced by them as we seek to be as objective as possible.
Thus, we welcome all comments and your comments will be a testimony of how objective we are and whether we are true to our mission and objective of this website. Alternatively, if there are any condominium that you want us to look into and offer our views, please email us and we will look into it.
Units / condominiums will be evaluate based on its price attractiveness relative to the following criteria:
a. Location of the condominium, including its proximity to MRT / LRT stations, road networks, good schools, shopping malls, other amenities, etc.
b. Its physical surroundings whether within the development or in its immediate surroundings.
c. Facilities of the condominium.
d. Layout of typical units in the condominium.
e. Recent transactions of nearby condominium(s)
In general, we like:
a. A condominium that is in close proximity to MRT / LRT stations, road networks, shopping malls, other amenities, etc.
b. Unblocked views from units / blocks as well as wide separation between blocks of the same or another development.
c. A condominium that have more comprehensive facilities.
d. Units that have larger and regular layout with more internal spaces (and less bay windows).
e. Small price premium to nearby completed development(s).
We have no preference between a 99-year leasehold development versus a 999-year leasehold / freehold development as we believe everything have a price unless if a 999-year leasehold / freehold development has only a small premium to a nearby 99-year leasehold development in the same vicinity, ceteris paribas (all things being equal).
